Our People

Shalen and his family migrated from Fiji to New Zealand in 1989 and grew up in the Waikato region where he obtained a double degree in accounting and law from the University of Waikato in 1999 and has been a chartered accountant since 2003. He has a business background with experience in operating a multi-unit businesses, operating several franchised businesses over a 15-year period.

In 2022 Shalen joined Nolan and Lu Lawyers as a Solicitor where he intends to assist clients achieve their goals by combining his vast business experience and the law. He is also the current Vice President and Founding member of Waikato Gujarati Sports and Cultural, and previous committee member of Waikato Indian Association.

He is a down to earth family man with the patience and ability to explain law in simple terms.
